Redefining Health & Wellness for Women

Obesity Negative Initiative focuses on women who have lost or need to lose 50+ pounds.

It’s a healthy transformational movement for women to take control of their health and cultivate a positive lifestyle. It’s not just about losing weight – It’s about accountability to a healthier lifestyle—one that strengthens you mentally, physically, and socially. It’s about building strength in every sense, from your body to your mindset, and rejecting the limitations obesity places on your life. This isn’t about shame—it’s about taking control, pushing forward, and celebrating every victory on your journey to lasting health and well-being."
This initiative focuses on empowering women through education, sustainable lifestyle changes, and community support to combat obesity-related risks such as heart disease, diabetes, and mental health challenges.

The movement promotes healthy habits like balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, social support, and mental resilience while discouraging fad diets, body shaming, and unhealthy weight loss practices. The goal is to foster a supportive and motivating environment where women can achieve long-term well-being and self-confidence and have fun while doing it!

The Obesity Negative Initiative is more than just a movement - it's a lifestyle shift that redefines what it means to be healthy, strong, and confident.

PHYSICAL

“Thick Wit It Fitness" is a bold, fun, and empowering statement that celebrates body positivity, confidence, strength and health - while embracing curves and self-love!
It’s All About The Name: The term 'Thick' is often used to describe women with curvier, more voluptuous bodies, and 'Wit It' adds a playful, confident twist, suggesting that these women own their bodies with attitude, self-assurance, and style. In the context of fitness, “Thick Wit It Fitness" implies that fitness isn’t just about size or shape - it’s about embracing your unique body, being strong, and having fun along the way. It’s about women who are proud of their curves and aren’t afraid to show off their power while getting fit. The slogan – “Where EveryBODY is Welcome” - is designed with BODY as silhouettes of women in all shapes and sizes, because fitness isn't about fitting into a mold—it’s about breaking barriers, embracing change, and showing up for yourself.
The name has a lighthearted, yet empowering energy, suggesting that fitness is for women of all sizes and that there’s no need to make excuses - just a commitment to getting strong, healthy, and owning your confidence.
At Thick Wit It Fitness, we believe in variety—because fitness should never be boring! From dance workouts to strength training, yoga to high-energy group challenges, we bring the fun, the sweat, and the empowerment - no judgment, no pressure—just movement and fun for everyBODY!

MENTAL

Balanced Harmony - "Orchestrating Emotional Wellness" - emphasizes the idea that mental health, like a musical composition, involves various emotional states that require a balanced and proactive approach. Just as a conductor ensures harmony in an orchestra, Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults; trains individuals to recognize and manage emotional crises, in a structured, supportive way. The goal is to promote emotional wellness by offering early intervention and preventing crises or situations from escalating. By using evidence-based strategies, MHFA empowers individuals to guide others through emotional challenges, ensuring timely and effective care.
The phrase "Orchestrating Emotional Wellness" conveys the idea that mental health, like a musical composition, is made up of various emotional states and experiences, while also highlighting a proactive and structured approach to managing mental health and substance use challenges, similar to how an orchestra conductor ensures that all instruments work in harmony.

Here's the breakdown:
-
“Orchestrating”: Just as a conductor leads and organizes the instruments in an orchestra to create a cohesive sound, MHFA trains individuals to actively recognize and manage emotional and mental health crises. In the context of mental health, it implies actively managing and harmonizing different emotional states. This involves knowing how to identify signs of distress, offering early intervention, and providing support in a way that fosters balance and well-being.
-
"Emotional Wellness”: Mental Health First Aid emphasizes balance and well-being of one's emotional health, which includes understanding, managing, and supporting various emotions in a healthy way. It teaches participants how to approach individuals in crisis, much like how a conductor ensures each instrument is in tune. By learning evidence-based strategies, participants are prepared to offer help before a situation escalates, promoting emotional wellness for those in distress.
In essence, "Orchestrating Emotional Wellness" within the context of MHFA means leading and guiding individuals through early intervention, using structured, evidence-based strategies to create balance, understanding, and healing. Just as an orchestra relies on coordination and timing, mental health and substance use challenges can be addressed most effectively when the right support is offered at the right time—before a crisis grows too overwhelming.
